Fight For Forests

Forests are home to nearly two-thirds of our land-animals and plant species. Unfortunately, we have already lost half of our global forest land, destroying the homes of millions of animals. Deforestation threatens vital ecosystems, threatens the habitat of rare and endangered species, and spews greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. Luckily, we have the chance to speak out for forest protection and help preserve the little forest land we have left. Organizations like Green Peace fight governments and corporations every day to ensure the safety of forests and its wildlife. “Deforestation contributes as much as 20 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions every year, while intact forests can actually absorb carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.” Fight for a deforestation-free future!
